The funds raised by the Score Ethiopia campaign will deliver much-needed football facilities in Lalibela (northern Ethiopia), comprising of an upgraded football pitch, supporter seating, goal posts and changing and shower facilities. The new sporting facilities will draw the community together, give the young people an opportunity to fulfill their sporting passions and thereby, improve their quality of life.
Score Ethiopia also intends to support a vocational training programme for up to 1,000 young people, which will give them the chance to learn new skills, for example, carpentry, weaving, metal-work and poultry production. After training we will help them to start new businesses which will create job opportunities for others and enable the local economy in Lalibela to flourish.
Score Ethiopia will establish a long term relationship with our Lalibela partners, contributing to vocational education and sporting facilities in the local area for up to 30 years!
